KOTA KINABALU : In alignment with the broader SabahFirst agenda, N22 United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation Tanjung Aru (UPKO) candidate Dennison R. Indang continued his community outreach efforts with a visit to the Kepayan Low-Cost Housing Area today.
The programme, held from 8am to 11am aimed to strengthen engagement with voters residing outside the immediate Tanjung Aru constituency boundary.
Accompanied by members of the UPKO N22 campaign machinery, Dennison began the session with an informal breakfast with local residents before proceeding to the bustling tamu (market) at Kepayan. The visit enabled him to interact directly with traders, senior citizens, young families, and long-time residents whose daily concerns reflect broader developmental issues highlighted under the SabahFirst agenda.

Throughout the engagement, Dennison emphasised the SabahFirst commitment to inclusive development, community-centred policymaking, and strengthening local economic resilience. He noted that many voters who live in Kepayan retain strong ties to Tanjung Aru and therefore remain key stakeholders in shaping future policies affecting the constituency.
“We must ensure that no Sabahan is left behind, regardless of where they live,” he stated during the walkabout. “The SabahFirst agenda is about prioritising local needs, empowering the community, and ensuring that development initiatives genuinely reflect the people’s aspirations.”
Residents responded positively, with many expressing appreciation for the candidate’s willingness to meet them face-to-face and listen to their concerns regarding cost of living, infrastructure gaps, and access to essential services. The visit also helped strengthen awareness of the SabahFirst policy framework, particularly its emphasis on practical, ground-level solutions.

The event concluded with campaign volunteers distributing informational leaflets outlining the SabahFirst priorities and encouraging continued dialogue between community members and their local representatives.
As the election period progresses, such engagements continue to serve as a key platform for reinforcing the SabahFirst vision of a more equitable, empowered, and forward-looking Sabah.
