KOTA KINABALU: In conjunction with the Second Day of the Second Meeting of the Fifth Term of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly 2025, Datuk Annuar Ayub the Liawan Assemblyman brought together community leaders from the Liawan constituency to witness the proceedings of the state assembly firsthand.

Among those in attendance were Chairpersons of Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK), Chairpersons of the Urban Community Committee (JKDB) from Pekan Keningau, Chinese Community Leaders (KMC), Wiramuda representatives, and officers from the Community Development Leadership Unit (UPPM) for N.41 Liawan.

Their presence was more than symbolic, it represented a spirit of openness and citizen involvement in policy-making and governance, a hallmark of Annuar’s leadership that consistently honours and elevates the role of grassroots leaders.

“Our visit to the State Assembly has opened our eyes and given us a renewed awareness of our responsibilities and duties as community leaders,” said one of the attending JKKK Chairpersons.

Many expressed pride and gratitude towards Annuar for his genuine effort to provide opportunities for grassroots leaders to engage directly with the democratic process.

This initiative is seen as part of Annuar’s ongoing efforts to build leadership in Liawan rooted in understanding, hands-on experience, and close relationships between the people and their elected representative.

With his unifying and forward-thinking approach, Annuar prove that he is not merely a representative in the assembly, but a true leader on the ground.
