KENINGAU: The Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) Church in Ulu Senagang marked a significant milestone today with the official inauguration of its new open hall, which is set to become a central venue for both religious and community activities in the area.
The inauguration and thanksgiving ceremony was attended by Liawan State Assemblyman, Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, who officiated the event and expressed his gratitude to the local community for their steadfast support over the past five years of his service.
The event, held within the church compound, drew hundreds of congregants and villagers who gathered to celebrate the completion of the long-awaited facility. The open hall, designed to accommodate a wide range of gatherings, is expected to serve as a vibrant hub for worship, fellowship, and community development.

In his speech, Annuar emphasised that the successful completion of the project was a result of strong cooperation between local leaders, the church, and the surrounding community.
“I sincerely thank everyone who has placed their trust in me and worked together over the past five years. This close relationship forms the foundation for the continued progress and transformation of Liawan,” he said.
The ceremony featured a thanksgiving prayer, a communal meal, and choir performances by the church’s singing groups, further adding to the spirit of unity and celebration.
The SIB Ulu Senagang Open Hall stands as a symbol of the community’s shared commitment to faith, harmony, and development, with hopes that it will continue to foster inclusivity and cooperation among residents of all backgrounds.
