Road: a boon to villagers

KENINGAU : The residents of Kampung Baginda Laut, can finally breathe a sigh of relief as their long-awaited dream of a proper concrete road has become a reality.

The newly completed concrete road project has brought tremendous relief to this rural community, which had long endured muddy and slippery tracks, particularly treacherous during the rainy season.

This new road made it easier for schoolchildren, working adults, and residents conducting their daily activities , tasks that were previously disrupted due to the poor state of infrastructure.

The project was made possible through the commitment of Datuk Robert Tawik @ Nordin, Assistant Minister of Public Works and State Assemblyman for Bingkor, to ensure his constituents enjoy basic infrastructures.

According to Gergroy Karim, Chairman of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Baginda Laut, the project is not merely about road construction, it is about restoring people’s confidence in a leader who shows up not for recognition, but when the people are in need of hope.
