SHAH ALAM: Top Glove Corporation Bhd continues to be recognised for its leadership in corporate governance as an ASEAN Asset Class PLC (Public Listed Company). It has secured a position among the Top 5 Malaysian PLCs and the Top 50 ASEAN PLCs at the esteemed ASEAN Corporate Governance Conference and Awards (CGCA) 2025, organised by the Minority Shareholders Watch Group (MSWG).

This regional accolade is based on the 2024 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) assessment, initiated under the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) with the support of the Asian Development Bank. It highlights Top Glove’s ongoing commitment to establishing a governance framework founded on principles of integrity, accountability, and sustainability—values that have long guided the Company’s strategic direction.

Managing Director Lim Cheong Guan represented the Company at the awards ceremony, held at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, recently. Commenting on the recognition, Lim said,

“This award reaffirms our belief that strong governance is fundamental to creating long-term value, not only for our shareholders but for all the stakeholders we serve.”

Top Glove’s diverse Board, strong independent oversight, rigorous discussions during Board Meetings, and active engagement of its Independent Directors with Management, factory operations staff, and workers have reinforced its governance structure. Female representation on the Board reached 42% in FY2023 and now stands at 44%, surpassing industry standards. All Board Committees continue to be chaired by Independent Non-Executive Directors to ensure balanced oversight.

The Company has also advanced its ESG commitments by setting ambitious targets for FY2028, aligned with its goal of achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2050. Its sustainability disclosures are aligned with global standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Top Glove remains dedicated to embedding responsible practices into its daily operations, with external assurance validating its sustainability reporting to uphold transparency.

In addition to this recent accolade, Top Glove was awarded the Gold for Responsible Manufacturing (Large Companies) at The Star ESG Positive Impact Awards on 15 July 2025. The Company was also included in the FTSE ESG Healthcare Rating, placing it within the top 10% globally in the healthcare sector, as announced on 23 June 2025. Furthermore, Top Glove was ranked 7th out of 854 PLCs in Malaysia for the Overall Excellence Award at the National Corporate Governance & Sustainability Awards (NACGSA) 2024.

As Top Glove continues its mission to ensure safe human protection worldwide, good governance remains central to its vision of being a responsible and sustainable healthcare partner across ASEAN and beyond.
